Yennenga Progress
This video was the result of a group project in the Hyper Island Motion Creative program. Our goal was to raise awareness and encourage donations to Yennenga Progress — a non-profit organization working to create sustainable change in Burkina Faso.
Inspired by the spirit of Princess Yennenga — a symbol of leadership and resilience — we aimed to capture the power of community, education, and hope through motion design and storytelling.
We collaborated closely with Stina Berge, founder of Yennenga Progress, throughout the entire process — from concept to final delivery. The voiceover features the voice of Stina’s son, adding a personal and authentic touch to the message.
In my role as Editor and Compositor, I was responsible for assembling the final video. I also supported the Lead Animator by contributing to the storyboard through sketching and ideation. Additionally, I animated the growing plant sequence in After Effects and created visual assets, including the school building, in Illustrator.
Our biggest challenge was managing the timeline — we had four weeks to create the video while also supporting to organize a Motion Design festival with our class, which was led by a group of Distributors from our program.

Animation and creating the assets for the ground, growing flower and the ball.

For the storyboard, I supported the Lead Animator by contributing to the ideation process together with the Illustrator. I also created the illustrations used in the storyboard and animatic.
