Girl In a Window
For this assignment, titled 'Story Through a Window,' I chose to illustrate and animate a little girl fascinated by falling snow. See my process below.

It had just started snowing in Stockholm, inspiring the animation. I aimed to capture a child's excitement upon seeing snow first thing in the morning after waking up.
I began by sketching the character in my notebook and seeking inspiration on Pinterest for lighting and various window shapes. After, I experimented in Illustrator and realised that my initial idea of animating opening curtains would be too lengthy for a five-second animation, which was the maximum length for the assignment. I created the background and character in Illustrator, added hand-drawn expressions in Photoshop, and finalized the composition by adding effects like snow in After Effects.
